About Our Company

Our Mission

HealthBridge was founded to meet a growing need in a rapidly evolving world of work: timely, expert, and accessible occupational health support without the bureaucracy, delays, or rigid structures often associated with traditional services.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the workplace has changed dramatically. Remote working, digital healthcare, and the demand for faster, more flexible support have redefined expectations.

We recognised a clear gap: individuals and employers needing swift, clinically sound occupational health advice, especially in non-safety-critical roles, without being held back by long NHS waiting times or the logistical challenges of face-to-face clinics. HealthBridge bridges that gap.  We offer:

-Remote, video-based consultations using secure, GDPR-compliant platforms
-UK-wide coverage, including England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland
-Clear, tailored reports that are medically robust and workplace-relevant

Whether you're an employer needing a fitness-to-work opinion or an individual navigating return-to-work concerns, HealthBridge delivers high-quality assessments with clarity, compassion, and no unnecessary delays.

We're not confined by geography, and neither should your access to good occupational health advice be.

At HealthBridge, we don’t just complete paperwork. We help people move forward confidently, safely, and with expert support behind them.

The Founder

Dr. James Stanley (GMC 7285162) is a UK-trained General Practitioner with over 13 years of experience delivering high-quality care across both NHS and private sectors.

Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles in GP partnerships, championed innovation in new service areas such as medical aesthetics, and developed a strong reputation in occupational health, supporting employees and employers alike with clear, evidence-based advice.

Having witnessed first-hand the inefficiencies and frustrations that often delay return-to-work processes, Dr. Stanley founded HealthBridge to offer a smarter, faster, and more human alternative. His mission is to simplify occupational health without compromising clinical rigour or compassion.

With deep insight into both medical and organisational challenges, he brings a uniquely balanced perspective. Whether advising HR teams on complex employee cases or guiding individuals back to work, his approach is forward-thinking, clinically robust, and genuinely supportive.

Dr. Stanley is committed to making occupational health clear, timely, and human-centred, ensuring people and businesses can move forward with confidence.

HealthBridge also works in collaboration with trusted affiliates across specialist areas of employee wellbeing, including mental health, neurodiversity, and musculoskeletal support, allowing clients to access a truly comprehensive, joined-up service when needed.

Affiliate Network

At HealthBridge, we understand that workplace wellbeing is rarely one-dimensional. That’s why we’re proud to collaborate with trusted affiliates such as ReechUs - a leading provider of workplace mental health and wellbeing services across the UK. Through our affiliate network, we can connect organisations and employees with a broad range of specialist support, ensuring a seamless and comprehensive approach to health at work.

No, we do not routinely request GP records.

We find that requesting GP records often leads to significant delays and rarely adds essential value to the occupational health assessment. Our approach is designed to deliver clear, timely, and high-quality reports-typically within 24 to 48 hours of the consultation.

Instead, we:

-Rely on the information you provide during the assessment, supported by any documentation you wish to share.

-Ensure all assessments are GMC-guided and Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FOM) compliant, maintaining professional, evidence-based standards.

If further medical information is ever required to support a complex case, we will discuss this with you first and seek your explicit, informed consent before contacting your GP or any third party.

Our priority is to provide a fast, focused, and fair assessment, balancing clinical rigour with minimal disruption to you or your employer.

No, we do not currently undertake assessments for safety-critical roles.

This decision aligns with guidance issued by the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FOM), which recommends that such assessments are conducted face-to-face by appropriately trained clinicians with full access to relevant occupational health infrastructure and diagnostic resources.

Safety-critical roles, such as those involving work at height, operating heavy machinery, or driving carry a higher risk of harm to the individual or others if health issues are not accurately identified. To ensure the highest standards of safety and clinical governance, we do not offer remote assessments for these positions.

If you require a face-to-face medical for a safety-critical role, we recommend seeking a provider who offers in-person occupational health assessments in line with FOM guidance.

Typically within 3–5 working days. We also offer an urgent service when needed, just let us know your timescales and we’ll do our best to help.

Yes. While most of our referrals come via employers or HR teams, we also accept direct enquiries from individuals who want an occupational health report to share with their employer.

Yes. All reports are written by a fully qualified UK General Practitioner, in line with GMC guidance and relevant employment and equality legislation. We are experienced in writing clear, defensible reports that help businesses make confident decisions.

Absolutely. All consultations are conducted confidentially and in accordance with GDPR and medical ethics. Reports are only shared with the employee’s consent.

-All medical data is stored securely in encrypted files or on a GDPR-compliant clinical system.
-Access is restricted to clinicians involved in your case.
-We do not share any information without your explicit written consent unless legally required.
-We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and follow the Caldicott Principles of data handling in healthcare.

Your data is securely archived in line with NHS Records Management Guidelines, typically held for 10 years (or longer if legally required), after which it is permanently deleted unless you request otherwise.
